How they are made

They all come from the same tool you can use, with OpenStreetMap data and no retouching by hand: what you see is what you would download.

Each one's scale is chosen to show off its shape. An old town calls for coming close, at 1:5,000; a whole capital fits at 1:30,000, and then the city is drawn as blocks instead of house by house.

Any of them can be opened in the tool and changed: another framing, another paper, other colours. The gallery will keep growing with the maps that turn out best.
